Frequently Asked Questions

Does delivery cost factor into the comparison?
Yes. We compare the total landed price — that's the item price plus any delivery fees to your address. If the competitor offers free delivery and we charge for shipping, our delivery fee is included in our total for a fair comparison.
Can I claim a price beat after I've already purchased?
No — the Price Beat Guarantee applies to new purchases only. We're unable to retrospectively adjust pricing on orders that have already been placed and processed. Please submit your claim before completing your purchase.
Why aren't marketplace sellers (eBay, Amazon third-party) eligible?
Marketplace platforms host independent sellers whose pricing, stock authenticity, and warranty coverage we cannot reliably verify. We only compare against authorised retailers who are verified stockists of the brand, ensuring you receive a genuine product with full manufacturer warranty.
What counts as an "identical" product?
The product must match in every detail: same brand, model number or SKU, size, colour, and specification. Different editions, versions, colourways, or regional variants (even if functionally similar) are not considered identical. If in doubt, include the model number in your claim and we'll verify it.
How long does it take to process a claim?
We aim to review and respond to all claims within one business day. During busy periods such as major sales events, it may take a little longer. We'll always let you know the outcome by email.

1 Overview

Our Price Beat Guarantee ("the Guarantee") is offered by Office Stock ABN 48 601 535 951 ("we", "us", "our"). This Guarantee applies to eligible products purchased through our website at officestock.com.au. By submitting a Price Beat claim, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. We reserve the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw this Guarantee at any time without prior notice.

2 Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for a price beat, all of the following conditions must be met:

  • The competitor product must be identical in every respect — same brand, model number, SKU, size, colour, specification, and packaging (a "like-for-like" comparison).
  • The competitor product must be brand-new, unopened, and not described as second-hand, refurbished, ex-display, ex-demo, open-box, B-grade, or factory second.
  • The competitor must be an authorised retailer of the product with a physical or verifiable online presence in Australia.
  • The competitor's price must be currently displayed and publicly available on their website or in-store at the time we verify your claim — not an expired, cached, or historical price.
  • The product must be currently in stock and available for immediate purchase and dispatch from the competitor.
  • The total price comparison must include all applicable delivery, shipping, and handling fees to the same delivery address. If the competitor offers free shipping, only the item price will be compared. If either party charges delivery, it will be factored into the total price for comparison purposes.

3 Exclusions

This Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Prices from marketplace or third-party sellers (including but not limited to eBay, Amazon Marketplace, Facebook Marketplace, Gumtree, or similar platforms where independent sellers list products).
  • Clearance, end-of-line, liquidation, or discontinued products.
  • Prices available only through coupon codes, voucher codes, promotional codes, cashback offers, loyalty or reward programmes, staff discounts, trade-in offers, or any form of conditional discount not available to the general public.
  • Bundle deals, package offers, or "bonus gift with purchase" promotions where the pricing reflects a multi-item value.
  • Products sold via auction, bidding, or "name your price" mechanisms.
  • Pricing errors, typographical mistakes, or system glitches on the competitor's website, as reasonably determined by us.
  • Products sold by overseas or international retailers, including those that ship to Australia from abroad.
  • Gift cards, digital downloads, subscriptions, services, extended warranties, or installation services.
  • Products not stocked or sold by us.
  • Prices displayed in a currency other than Australian Dollars (AUD).

4 How the Price Beat Is Calculated

Where a valid claim is approved, we will beat the competitor's verified total price (including any delivery fees to the same delivery address) by 5%. The beaten price applies to the individual item only and cannot be applied retrospectively to previous purchases. Only one Price Beat claim may be submitted per product, per customer, per transaction. We reserve the right to limit quantities available at the beaten price.

5 Claim Process

To submit a Price Beat claim, you must provide: (a) the competitor's name and website URL; (b) a direct link to the identical product listing showing the lower price; (c) the product name, model number, and/or SKU; and (d) a screenshot of the competitor's listing including the displayed price, delivery cost, and stock availability. Claims can be submitted via our online form or by emailing admin@officestock.com.au. We will endeavour to verify and respond to claims within one (1) business day, though response times may vary during peak periods.

6 Verification & Our Rights

All claims are subject to verification by our team. We reserve the sole and absolute right to: (a) verify the competitor's price, stock availability, and product specification at the time of assessment; (b) determine whether two products are genuinely identical; (c) reject a claim if we reasonably believe the competitor's price is a result of an error, is not available to the general public, or otherwise does not meet these conditions; and (d) limit quantities to reasonable household quantities (generally one unit per customer per product). Our decision on all Price Beat claims is final.

7 General Provisions

This Guarantee is offered in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue this Guarantee at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting updated terms to this page. This Guarantee cannot be combined with any other offer, promotion, discount code, or sale pricing unless expressly stated. These terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.
